Easter 2009

We had a great Easter this year, which included a lot of fun activities. Earlier in the week we went with our friends the Roylance's to an Easter egg hunt in the community. I think the kids had more fun playing in the paper than looking for the eggs.

Friday, our friends the Seaman's had their annual Easter hunt. It is a lot of fun, she doesn't just hide eggs, but lots of other fun Easter things like pencils, cookie cutters, and fun toys. The boys had a lot of fun looking for all the fun things.

We gave the boys their Easter baskets on Sunday, filled with lots of fun things to entertain them during Stake Conference.
This is our attempt at taking Easter pictures, it is really difficult to get three little boys to look at the camera at the same time.

The individual ones turned out, but we could not get one good one of all three of them. Hopefully as they get older it will be easier!!!

We went to Sunday dinner at our friends the Hoffman's, we had a great dinner and fun playing Ticket to Ride. ( the best board game) Thanks guys!!!
We also started a new family tradition of finding Easter eggs in the dark with flashlights. The boys had a great time, they love using their flashlights any time they can. We thought as the get older they will still enjoy doing this and eventually we can hide them outside.

Fargo Flood

I have not really posted anything about the flood, I really don't know why. We had a big flood last week, that I am sure a lot of you have seen on the news. They thought the river was going to reach 41 feet, which normal river level is 14 feet. The community really came together and sandbagged a lot of the city. Nick was able to go out everyday last week and help different people in the ward and some people he didn't even know. I often say that I don't like living here because of the cold, but the people of this community are wonderful and because of them I am able to handle living here. I never thought I would say this, but I am going to be sad when we leave in a year.
Luckily the river never got that high, it reached 40.8 feet which is the highest it has ever been. The river has gone down a lot, but they are now worried that when all this snow that we got from the blizzard earlier this week melts, it will again raise the river.

I watched this you tube video the other day on facebook and it made me cry. So, I thought I would share it with you. It really shows you the sense of community, much better than I can explain.
