Our Little Apple Pickers

There is a family in our ward who lives in a small town about 45 minutes out of Fargo and they have several apple trees so every year about this time they invite the ward out to pick apples. Ashlee and the boys have been out there two other times but this was the first opportunity that I had to join them. Ashlee makes wonderful apple pie filling (which she uses to make her famous apple crisp)she also makes applesauce out of them. It makes for a fun night and also helps with our food storage. They also make a big fire so we can roast some hot dogs and smores, Austin looooves the smores!

Brodie was a hoot! He would walk around pick up an apple, take one bite, and then throw it on the ground. Later when some of the other ladies were picking up apples from the ground to take home they started laughing because they kept finding little bites out of the apples.

Our New Toy!!!

I know this is my third post of the night, but it has been a while since I last posted and this is why...
We got a Wii from Grandpa Schwerin and have been playing it a lot. The boys love it, but Nick and I love it even more. We stay up to all hours of the night playing Mario Cart. Tonight we even went online, after the kids were in bed, and played with Nick's sister Angie and her husband Marcus. It was a lot of fun, but they beat us BAD!! Austin is really good at boxing and bowling. It is fun to watch him play. Brodie likes to play too, especially boxing he even make sound affects(he is definitely Nick's boy). We have had a lot of fun. Thanks Grandpa we love it.

Corbin is Six Months!!

Corbin turned six months yesterday, and I can't believe it. He is such a joy to have around. He scoots backwards and can get around really fast. He also started getting up on his knees and rocking, it is so cute to watch. I don't know what I am going to do with three little boys that can move around. It will be fun:). We also started feeding him cereal, it is really funny to watch. He makes a very big mess.

Austin's getting way to big!!!

I can't believe how big Austin is getting. He had been a very busy boy lately. A couple of my friends that have kids the same age as Austin, we decided to start a little preschool for them. We take turns teaching every week. We do it on Mondays and Fridays and the kids loved the first week. Austin is so excited about it and loves being with his friends and learning new things. Here is a cute picture of Austin from his first day.

We also signed him up for a little program called Sports Sampler. He goes on Tuesday and Thursday nights. He really has enjoyed it, he ask me all the time when he can go again. It is very cute watching four and five year old kids play different sports. So far they have done soccer, football, volleyball, and baseball. It is so great because they get to try out all of the sports and see which one they like the most.
Here is a picture from volleyball night.

San Francisco!

As you can see I took a trip to San Francisco, CA. It was a trip that I was required to take for my architecture studio class. We are working on a highrise project that is to be located in the city... so we went there to do some site evaluation and research for our designs.

My partner and I have chosen to design our building for the site that is now housing that really ugly square in this photograph. We are still in the very early stages of design so we really do not have much at this point but we do know where we want it.

Here are just a few fun things that I saw during my visit.

This one is for Ashlee's Grandma Betty.

Great Labor Day Weekend

I had a wonderful weekend without the boys. I recently started a facebook account and reconnected with a lot of old friends. I found out that my friend from Arkansas, Rachelle, was pregnant and was having a baby shower. I was joking with Nick and said I wanted to go, he said why not. So I made plans and headed out to Salt Lake for the weekend. I stayed with my good friend Jenny who is also from Arkansas. I had a wonderful time. Jenny and I stayed up way to late every night talking. I also was able to see Nick's family which was a lot of fun. All of our nieces and nephews have gotten so big. It made me a little sad because we have not been around to see them all grow up. I had a great time relaxing, shopping, and eating. Thanks Jenny for your wonderful friendship and letting me stay with you, tell David thanks for letting me steal you for the weekend.
Thanks to Nick for staying with the boys, I know it was not easy.
I normally take a lot of pictures, but for some reason I didn't. I did get one picture with Jenny before I left so I will post that one.
