Thanksgiving

This year we invited some friends of ours over for Thanksgiving dinner. The women slaved in the kitchen all day while the kids played. They made a ship with the couch pillows and sailed all over the place. We were a bit nervous hosting it but everything turned out great. We didn't eat until a little after 4:00 because we were waiting for one of our friends to get home from work. Amazingly all of the food was hot and ready right when he arrived, that takes some timing. The comment was made after dinner that it is crazy that we spent several hours cooking the food but it only took 20 minutes to eat and be full. Later we went over to their house to eat the pies and homemade peppermint ice cream (Ashlee made an apple pie that was out of this world) they were all tasty. We also played some games on their Wii which we found out we cannot play very well. Ashlee missed the times that we would go and heard the cows around Thanksgiving time with my family so she thought she would try cow throwing, as you can see she throws pretty hard. We all had a great day with our friends but missed having more family around. (Nick)

Making Cookies

For FHE we made No Bake Cookies and the boys had a great time. Austin wanted to help measure and dump everything in the pot. He only missed a little and dropped the spoon in once. Brodie was enjoying the peanut butter so much he didn't care if he got to dump anything in. They turned out great but it still took some convincing to get Austin to eat any. After some coaxing he tried a bite and loved them. Brodie on the other hand didn't need any convincing.

Brodie's Hide Out

The boys love to play in the little towel closet in the master bath. Ever since we started potty training Austin, Brodie has made this his quiet place while Austin takes care of business. Today he loaded the tiny space with blankets and toys to keep himself busy.

Potty Training

Potty Training has been quite an adventure. We found if we gave him something to read then he would sit a little longer on the toilet. He is getting better, but we still have a long ways to go.

Baby Boy Tres

Baby boy three comes as a bit of a surprise, but we are starting to get excited. He is due around March 2oth. In these ultrasound pictures you can see his profile and feet. I kinda wanted a little girl, but I am just glad that he is healthy. Besides I would not know what to do with a little girl.

Starting our family Blog!

The boys are getting bigger everyday. Austin is now spending every minute picking out the toys from the catalog that he wants for Christmas. He will show us something and say "this is Austin's" and when we say "maybe" he will say "please" while batting his eyes and pushing out his bottom lip. Brodie is starting to talk, when he is given anything he will say "thank you" over and over until someone responds with "you're welcome". He really loves his older brother and tries to do everything that he does.
