Kung Fu Panda

I took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda today and they loved it. Here in Fargo during the summer they show movies on Wednesday and Thursday mornings for $2.50, this week was Kung Fu Panda and Austin has been asking to see it since he saw a preview for it a while ago. They had a great time, they have been doing Kung Fu all day. As you can tell by the pictures, all Brodie did was eat candy and get it all over himself. I have to say it really was a great movie. I can't believe how well my boys do at the movies, even Corbin was good.

Computer Games

Last week we were over at my friend Allison's house and she had this easy link game for the computer, she let Austin play it and he loved it. She told me that they had them on clearance at Toys-R-Us. I decided that I should get one for Austin because he loves to play games on the computer. Allison let me run over there to pick one and leave all my kids with her. This system is so cool, he puts a character in that he wants to play and it takes him right to that website and he can't go anywhere else unless he changes the little character. It also has parental control and I can set a timer for him. It is safe and he loves it. He is also really good at it too. The best part is that it was on sale. I got it for $11, it came with 3 games. Later I went online to look at more games and they were on sale to, so I got him a few more. It is so nice when I am trying to clean and get some things done, it also keeps Brodie distracted. He wants to play too, but can't figure it out just yet. I sure he will before to long.

Little Update...

Wow!! I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted. I normally post late at night which lately I have been watching Gilmore Girls. I decided to netflicks all the seasons, Nick never wanted me to get them when he was home so I thought this would be a perfect time.

We have been trying to keep really busy; swimming, library, playing at friends, and whatever else I can think of to fill our time. It is actually going by very fast only a little more than four weeks left until Nick gets home. YEAH!!!

I was able to get away the other night with some of my friends for dinner and a movie. We ate at Famous Dave's and saw Mamma Mia. I had a lot of fun, the movie was great I really like it. It was also great to have a little break from Austin and Brodie.

Fun in the Sun

When you live in Fargo, this is as close as you get to a beach. It's a man-made lake with sand all around it. They bring in water from the river and filter it every night. It is actually a really nice place. The boys had a blast (as you can tell by the pictures) they did not want to go home and Austin keeps saying "I want to go back to the beach".


Sometimes they can be so sweet to each other. Austin was holding Brodie's hand helping him in the water.

Four Months Already!!!

I can't believe that Corbin is four months old. He is such a joy to have around. He is turning into a very happy baby that smiles a lot. He loves his brothers a lot, they are who he smiles for the most. We love having him in our family.
I took a bunch of pictures tonight and could not decide which ones to post, so I just did a slide show of them all.

Lesson Learned

Tonight I realized that I was supposed to learn a lesson, and that is why Nick and I are apart for a couple of months. The lesson I am suppose to learn is to appreciate him more. I never realized how much he does around the house and with the kids.
I definitely learned my lesson tonight, while cutting the boys hair. Nick normally does this (which I normally yell the whole time "its too short") and now I know why. It was not a very pleasant experience. I started with Austin, I gave him a sucker thinking it would keep his mind off what I was doing, but that was not the case. He screamed and cried the whole entire time. He kept saying "Mom it hurts." Corbin was sitting in the highchair screaming too (I have no idea what Brodie was doing, he would come in every so often to see what was going on). So of course I start crying, which made things ten times worse. Nick told me how he normally does it by blending and everything, but that did not work out, so I just cut his hair at a 2 all over. It is really short, I am just glad that it is summer.
Next, was Brodie he was terrified from hearing Austin, so he did not want to get on the counter for his turn. I finally got him up there and decided that I would just cut his at a 3 all over, and not try to blend it at all. It went a little bit better than Austin's, he just keep getting hair in his month and it made him mad. (Corbin was still screaming) I am just glad that it is over, and very grateful that their hair grows fast.
I am also very grateful for a wonderful husband that does a lot to help out. I will never yell at him again while he is cutting their hair, because it is not an easy task.
I learned my lesson now, I just wish that meant he could come home.

Corbin Rolling Over

Corbin starting rolling over about a week ago. I can't believe it, he is not even 4 months old yet. They grow up way to fast. Nick wanted be to get it on video so he could see, and I finally did. Sorry, it is not the best quality because I had Brodie jumping all over me and the bed. It is also really dark, but can still see him rolling.

Brodie and Corbin's Room

I have been working on Brodie and Corbin's room for a long time. I was hoping to have it done before Corbin was born, but that did not happen. Yesterday Amber finished the tops of their quilts which is the last thing that has to be done, now I just need to find material to back them. They turned out really cute. I painted all the little trains, their names, made the bulletin board, and the vinyl signs. I am so happy with the way everything turned out.

My friend Amber helped Brandi and I make these really cute purses. Okay reality we cut out the material and Amber sowed, so she did most of the work. She even made the pattern up, they turned out super cute and I love it. Thanks Amber, your the best. This is the inside, it even has pocket.

Happy Anniversary Nick!!!

Today is our 6th anniversary. It is our first anniversary apart, so sad. I can't believe that we have been married for 6 years already. A lot has happened in those years. He is such a wonderful husband, but an even better dad. The past few days I have been looking at all of our pictures trying to decide which ones to post. It was really hard to narrow it down, Nick's sisters Cindi and Angie took a ton of really good pictures for us. I really enjoyed looking at them because it brought back a lot of wonderful memories.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy Independence Day to all!! We always get flag t-shirts from Old Navy for the 4th. We normally take a family pic, but since Nick is gone I decided to just take a few of the boys.
I have to say it is really hard to get three little ones to look at the camera at the same time. Finally success... after about 50 pictures.

Brodie's 2nd Birthday

Brodie turned 2 on June 15th. I know it has taken me awhile to add these pictures. I can't believe that he is 2 already. He is a very funny little boy with lots of personality. He is very independent and wants to do things by himself, which can be a good and bad thing because when I try to help him he can throw some really big tantrums.
He has really gotten into movies lately. His favorite is The Incredibles. He says the lines while he is watching and he knows most of the movie, it is really funny to watch him. He is our little entertainer.

He looks like he is going to eat the candle instead of blow it out, what a funny kid!!!!

1. I have an obsession about keeping my house clean. My poor kids every time they get something out I am right behind them picking it up even if they are not done playing with it. I am trying to get better and just let them be and clean up at the end of the day. I am slowly getting better.

2. I am very clean, but I hate to deep clean anything. Especially the bathroom, normally that is Nick's job. So I guess you could say that I am good at picking things up.

3. I have become addicted to my ipod. I never thought I would ever have one, and now I don't know what I would do without it. I even listen to it at night to fall asleep which has been very helpful since Nick is gone.

4. I love love love chocolate. It is so bad that when I need a break I find chocolate and go hide somewhere to enjoy it. The other day the only thing I had that was chocolate was frosting so I ate it with a spoon like it was ice cream. How sad is that!!!

5. I love BBQ sauce. It can make anything taste good. Especially Rendezvous from Memphis, TN and Maurices from South Carolina. YUM YUM!!!!

6. I like to read, but I take a long time to finish a book. I don't what it is, but I can't sit and read for hours like most people. I guess I have a small problem with sitting still. I am trying to get better because I borrow books from friends and they wonder if I am ever going to return them.

New computer

Nick ordered me a new computer because I could not even turn our old one on most of the time and when I did get it to turn on it would not do anything and would not turn off again. That's why I have not added anything since we came home. I have only had it for about seven years before Nick and I even got married. It was definitely time for a new one. Now I can get back to blogging and adding pictures. Yeah!!!!!!

Little update, we made it home and even though it is terribly hard without Nick we are all happy to be home. We are just trying to keep as busy as possible hoping the time will pass quickly. Nick we love you and miss you a ton.
