Earlier this week a Sister from our Ward called and asked if we wanted a piano that she didn't want anymore. I said, "yes" without thinking about it and told her that I would come and get it on Saturday. I got to thinking after I agreed to take it from her that maybe it was in really bad shape or wouldn't hold a tune or something like that and started to have second thoughts. I called a few friends from the ward to go with me to pick it up, thanks Rob and Ben, without their help it never would have made it in the truck. It was much larger and heavier than I thought it would be. After getting it home and in place we were excited to see that it wasn't in that bad of shape and that it isn't that bad out of tune. Well we are now the owners of a piano that we are really enjoying. It is a C. Kurtzmann & Co Makers Buffalo. N.Y. and the only date that I can find on it is 1960. Now Ashlee can learn how to play and we can teach our boys to play as well.Monday, April 21, 2008

Family Bowling Night
Tonight we took the boys bowling and they all had a great time. We had to drive all the way to Minnesota to find an alley that had an open lane for us to play on, thank goodness that it is only over the river.
Austin had to help Brodie carry the ball and lift it onto the ramp, what a great big brother.

Wonderful Friends
I am so grateful for my wonderful friends here in Fargo. Nick went to Chicago with school for 3 days and 4 nights. That does not sound like very long, but when you have 3 kids and one being a newborn it is very long. Thank goodness for my friends that either came and hung out with me or that took Austin and Brodie for a few hours. It really helped me get through the weekend. My friends are the only good part about living here in this frozen place. Thanks Brandi, Shay, and Ann ya'll are truly wonderful. Thanks to Amber too, for taking the boys last week. I love you ladies.

Kids these days

Last night, the phone rings and its Grandpa. He says, "Where is your cell phone?" I say, "I think Brodie has it." He then tells me that he has been talking to him for the past five minutes. I knew that Brodie had my phone but I had no idea he was actually talking to someone. I noticed that he went and sat in the car seat and was talking but I thought he was just pretending. I got a couple of pictures of him because he looked so cute. When I took them I didn't know he was talking to Grandpa. I can't believe that at 21 months he is already making long distance phone calls. What a funny kid.
