April 2011

Since we didn't get a good family picture on Easter, we put the kids in their Easter outfits last Sunday to at least get a picture of the four of them. We could not find our tripod to take a family one but it was okay because Nick and I did not wear exactly what we wore on Easter. So here is to hoping that family pictures get easier as they get older!

Austin is 7!

Our sweet Austin turned 7 last week and I know I always say this but I really can't believe I have a 7 year old. We just celebrated as a family. First we had dinner (menu picked by Austin) we had pizza, apple sauce and root beer, his favorites! Then he opened A LOT of presents thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Schwerin, they got him a lot of great stuff.
Here are just some of his favorite things that he got!
After presents it was time for cake and ice cream. I normally make cupcakes for the kids birthday but the night before Austin said "mom I really want a cake this year." Since I am not very good at cakes, I told Nick to check the bakery at Wal-Mart and he found this yummy chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream frosting. It really was good!
We sure love our Austin he is a great kid!

Easter in Vernal

We spent Easter weekend at Nick's parent in Vernal. There were 14 adults and 19 kids, let the craziness begin! It really was a great weekend and it is fun being back in Utah to celebrate holidays with everyone. We took a lot of pictures and it was really hard to decided which ones to share!

The adults stayed up super late Friday playing games, but Saturday morning began bright and early with yummy apple fritters. Then it was time for an Easter egg hunt, we let the little ones go first and then the big kids.
Adyson liked carrying her eggs rather than putting them in her basket.
Cute Corbin.
Checking out Uncle Wes' rabbit.
Grandma and Grandpa Weber with most of the grand kids missing 2 and Corbin because he refused to get in the picture.
Brodie racing to find eggs.
Austin being silly!
After the hunt, it was time to fly kites. Grandma got some kites from the dollar store and the worked great! I forgot to take pictures so I stole these from Nick's sister's blog.

Aunt Kim went and got the kids some glow in the dark sidewalk chalk which was a lot of fun. Saturday was a super long day but we found lots of fun things to do to fill the time!
I made these cute ties for the boys so they could match. We tried to take a family picture but Corbin and Adyson did not want anything to do with that. We did get some cute ones of the kids together this last Sunday so I will have to post those later.

Just a cute picture of Austin, Ellie, Adyson, Finley, and Brodie looking at the cat.
