Our First Home!

Another reason I was so far behind on blogging was because we were searching and trying to decide if it was the right time to by a house. We wanted to be closer to Nick's office in Bountiful, but wanted to live in a newer neighborhood with kids. We started looking in Kaysville and didn't really find anything we feel in love with, then our realtor suggested to look in Syracuse my first thought was that we did not want to live way out there. But we went one night and looked at several homes in that area and we fell in love with it. I told Nick after looking at the houses out there I would be happy in any of them. Most of the ones we were looking at were short sales which can sometimes take a really long time to get into, then we found this home that was a foreclosed home, it needed some work but we saw great potential. Going into all this we said if things worked out then it was time, if not then we would wait a little longer. But things sure have worked out with this house. The kitchen floor had to be fixed because the dishwasher leaked and it was in bad shape. The seller fixed the kitchen floor because the appraiser said it had to be done before we could close. We were going to fix the floor ourselves, but now we don't have to, which is such a great blessing. We are so excited about our first home and we will be cleaning and doing a few more things this week and then we will move in on Saturday. We are excited to feel a little more settled. The school the kids will be attending is brand new and Austin can't wait to start. When we get all moved in I will do some before and after pictures but for now here is a picture of the front and back. We are so excited to have a fully fenced back yard too.
It is 4 bedrooms 3 1/2 baths. It has a great big walk in closet in the master bedroom which I am super excited about.

We are truly blessed and so excited that things have worked out!

Halloween 2010

We had a great Halloween. We went to Nick's sisters house for a little party, then we came back home and went trick r treating around the neighborhood. It was a great day!
Adyson refused to wear her wings, but she still looked cute!

Nick's parents with most of the grand kids! Missing 5 and there is 1 on the way!

Carving our Pumpkin

We were planning on going to a pumpkin patch and it just never happened. It is hard to do much when Nick doesn't get home until 6 and the Saturday we picked to go it started raining. So I did not buy a single pumpkin this year. The only reason we had this one was because my friend gave it to me. Next year we will do better.
The kids were very excited to carve the pumpkin, they wanted a happy face!

Adyson was the only one of the kids that would reach inside the pumpkin, it was pretty funny.

The final product!

Fishing with Grandpa in Vernal

We decided to take a little trip to Vernal to see Grandma and Grandpa Weber to do a little fishing before it got to cold.
Austin was so patient. They did not have much luck but he didn't care he just enjoyed being outside.

Adyson just along for the ride!

Corbin had more fun throwing rocks!
Brodie giving it a try!

We had better luck skipping rocks then catching fish that day!

Finally!!!

I know I said that I was going to get everything updated a few weeks ago and it never happened. Nick's laptop crashed on me, and then everyone (except me) got very very sick so blogging was the last thing on my mind. Now everyone is better and I am using the computer Nick got last year at NDSU's auction for $25, I guess it is a good thing we have a lot of computers because they are not my friend lately.
So first things first,
My parents came to visit us early October for a weekend and we had a great time. We didn't really take a lot of pictures shame on me! They got to watch Austin and Brodie each play a soccer game, we ate yummy food, went to Temple Square, went swimming and did some shopping. They even watched all four kids for us overnight at the hotel. It was the first time that Nick and I both have been away from the kids for an entire night, we had a great night going to a movie and hanging out.

We took a tour of the conference center and that was the only place we took pictures all weekend.
Stay tuned a lot more post to come!!

I really should blog more!!!

I really need to upload my pictures to Nick's laptop so I can blog. My computer has been down for a while, so I have been using Nick's laptop. I really didn't want to put all of our pictures on here, but I guess I might have to break down and do it because it does not look like my computer is going to be fixed anytime soon. So here is to getting motivated to put the pictures on the laptop, maybe in the next couple of days!

Our Little Soccer Players

We signed Austin and Brodie up for soccer and they love it. Between the two of them we have four games a week, but it is so fun to watch them. Austin has a great coach that really gets them excited about playing. Nick is the assistant coach for his team. Austin is starting to get the hang of it.

Brodie's first game, it rained off and on but he got right in there and was ready to play. His age group is very fun to watch because they all chase after the ball and try to kick it. (Brodie's the one with the hood on)

Corbin and Adyson enjoy watching their brothers play!

Adyson's Birthday Celebration

Adyson had a great birthday! Friday night we decided to get pizza for dinner with Nick's sister Angie and her family(because they could not come on Saturday). She had already eaten her dinner, but decided that Corbin's looked really good. She wanted to sit at the little table so she could finish his pizza. She thinks she is as big as the boys! After pizza we opened her presents, Grandma and Grandpa Schwerin were able to watch on the computer (skype is great!) She was really funny every time she would open a present with clothes she would hold it up for everyone to see. There was one pink shirt she did not want to let go of. Thanks everyone for all of the great presents you sent.

Saturday we had a little cupcake and ice cream party with Nick's sister Cindi, his brother Nate, my friend Jen and their families. She was too cute, I put chocolate chips on the pink cupcakes so she first picked off the chocolate and then finally made it to the cupcake. Thanks everyone for coming.

I can't believe she is 1! We sure love our little girl!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend we decided to go visit our friends the Hoffmans. They just recently moved to Rexburg from Fargo. We had a great time and it was a lot of fun seeing them.
They have a really nice community room, so Saturday when we got there we took the kids swimming, had a BBQ, and then watched a movie in their movie room.

Sunday we decided to take a little tour of BYU-I campus. We all went to school there so it was a lot of fun walking around and remembering old memories. The campus has changed a lot in 8 years! The stairs we are sitting on are in the Spori building, when we lived there Nick was working for Layton Construction and he build those stairs all by himself. The picture of the Hoffmans by the piano are were they had their first kiss!

Monday we went to a park to feed the ducks. There were a lot of ducks to feed! We went on a little walk and it sure was a great day for it, light jacket weather which I love.
We ended our trip by eating at Mill Hollow, one of the places Nick and I use to go went we lived there. We had a great time with the Hoffmans. Thanks for all the yummy food and great memories!

Manti Temple

We were only 30 miles from the Manti Temple when we went camping so we decided to head a little further south to show the kids were Nick and I got married. We didn't really take any pictures of us because we were so gross from camping. It was great to see the temple and be able to show the kids, they were excited to see it. After looking at the temple we stopped at a great little drive-in down there for shakes. They were so yummy, but I forgot to take pictures. I am so glad we decided to go down there, it was great to see it again.

Ward Campout: Part 2

We got up Saturday morning and had a very yummy breakfast then we went on a little walk around were we camped. Nick started a little game of hit the baseball with the kids while all the parents loaded up their stuff.
After that it was time for the zip line. Austin was so fun to watch, I was really surprised that he got right up there to do it and didn't even act scared. I think I was more scared than him, but I am so glad I did it because it was so much fun! He was a little nervous while he was going down the first time, but he got back up and did it a couple more times.
We had a ton of fun on the camp out, I am so glad that we went!

Austin's First Day of School

Austin started school on July 27th, the school he is attending is a year round school that is why he started so early. His school is Eastlake Elementary and his teacher is Mrs. Pearson. He was very excited to start first grade, but a little nervous about going to a new school. I think he is starting to adjust. I sure can't believe my little Austin is a first grader!
The one cool thing is that he gets to go to school with his cousins. He also gets to ride the bus which he loves and it is so great for me.

Hogle Zoo

A couple of weeks ago I took the kids to the Hogle Zoo. We went with Jenny, Pam, and their kid (friends from Arkansas). It was fun even though, it was hot and that zoo has a lot of hills compared to the flat zoo in North Dakota. I think my favorite part was seeing baby Zuri the elephant.

Weekend in Vernal

A few weekends ago all of Nick's family minus a couple went out to his parents house in Vernal for a little celebration of the June birthdays. Angie did all of the planning her little Fynlee turned 1, we had a great time hanging out, eating, and playing fun games. I took a lot of pictures and it was very hard to pick just a couple. (I put June on all of the collages but it was actually July.)
