Routine/Chore Charts

I feel like I yell at my kids a lot about cleaning up their toys and not listening when I ask them to do things. Also, Austin has been late to school a few to many times because when he wakes up in the morning he goes and turns the TV on instead of staying on task and getting ready(it is my fault more than his because I forget to set an alarm and if Adyson is not awake neither am I). So I decided that all needed to change. I talked to one of my friends about chores and some of the things she does with her kids and she gave me some wonderful ideas. I decided to making a morning, after school, and night routine charts. Then a certain chore they do everyday to help out around the house. I also thought this would help me keep on track too. I have to get the laundry done and Tuesday so that they have laundry to fold! I thought when it was the day to clean their bedroom or bathroom that during the day I would clean mine. I feel much better when the apartment is clean and I have really slacked lately. So here is to a cleaner and happier mommy!
The charts Nick helped me create in his cool program InDesign. I think they turned out super cute! I also have reusable stickers they put under their name when they complete a task.

School Carnival

Austin's elementary school had a carnival/family fun night. It was a ton of fun! The kids were super excited about going and really had a good time.
Austin and Brodie going down the big blow up slide. I think this and the big bounce house were their favorites.
Sucker pull! Corbin had to get in on the action, he loves suckers. The rest of the time he just wanted to sit in the stroller, I think because there were so many people.
Adyson hanging out in the stroller enjoying watching everything that was going on around her. She is a people watcher.
Yummy sucker!
Bean bag toss.
Mini golf. They were really good at this one, they both got it in the hole in two strokes.
We had a great time. I even got to volunteer at one of the games and it was a lot of fun. I really have not got to do a lot at his school since I have all the other little ones at home. Austin had a great time showing us around his school!

Cute Kids!

Since General Conference fell on Easter weekend the kids wore their new digs the Sunday after. I know I am a little partial, but check out those good looking kids!

Individual shoots...
Handsome Boys!!

We had to bribe Corbin with chocolate to get him to take the other pictures and Nick gave it to him a little to soon, before we could get a picture of him alone.
She is getting way to big!

Easter 2010

We have a few tradition we like to do Easter morning. When the kids wake up in the morning their Easter baskets are filled with fun things and there are plastic eggs hidden around the living room. This year I made hooded towels for the kids and they turned out super cute. My friend Amber embroidered their names and a little design on them, she did a great job!

After checking what they got in their baskets it was time to find some eggs which either had candy or some change in them.

Adyson just watching everything that was going on.

Trying to find the last egg. We had to give some clues for last few eggs.
Adyson checking out everything in Brodie's basket!
A closer look at the towels, they are so cute! I was really excited about how they turned out.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching conference. There truly is not a better way to spend Easter than watching General Conference and learning the things we need to do to follow our Heavenly Father's plan. I know that Jesus Christ lives and I love this time of year to reflect on what is most important.
When conference was over we went over to our friends the Hoffmans for some great food (I forgot my camera). It was a great way to end the day. We hope that you had a great Easter too!

Easter Hunt

Our friends the Seamons have this great Easter hunt every year. Instead of just eggs she gives the kids a list of different things for them to find. This year there was lots of fun stuff like pencils, airplanes, inflatable eggs, slinkies, and many more fun things. It is a lot of fun and the boys had a great time. We were even blessed with some great weather. It was great to enjoy a fun hunt, great food, good weather, and the company of friends on Saturday.
Hunting for everything on the list!

Austin mostly went and found everything with his friends, but would come show us every once in a while what he found.

Adyson really enjoyed being outside.

All of the kids!

Our cute family!
Thanks Seamons we sure are going to miss this fun tradition. It was a great day!

Finally

We finally had a couple of really nice days earlier in the week so we took advantage of them. We enjoyed our time outside going for a walk and riding bikes. The kids really liked being outside in the fresh air.

I think their favorite part was running around!

When we got back to our garage Corbin wanted a turn on the bike.
We were sure grateful to be able to be outside without heavy winter gear.
