Before and After

Since I have not posted very many pictures of our house, I thought I would post before and after pictures as we got projects done. We just finished the front of the house. We changed the lights, painted, and did lots of yard work. The yard is still a work in progress but it looks a lot better.
I am really happy with the way it turned out, it is amazing what a little paint can do!

First Day of School

I can't believe the summer is gone and it is time for school again. The first day of school was last Monday. Brodie only went for a little while, yesterday was his first real day. I can't believe that I have 2 kids in school. The afternoons are going to be quiet around here, with 2 gone and 1 taking a nap. I can't believe how big they are getting.
Ready for Kindergarten!
Austin was so excited to start second grade!

All of my cute kiddos!

9 years and counting

Nick and I celebrated our 9th anniversary on July 5th, I can't believe we have been married that long!

We didn't want to spend a lot of money so we decided to borrow his sisters kayak and spend some time enjoying the outdoors. We went up Ogden Canyon to Pineview. First we stopped for lunch at the bottom of the canyon and then it was kayaking time. It was so nice and relaxing. It was a lot of fun doing something a little different for our date.
The lake was so beautiful and the weather was perfect.
I told Nick that we needed one of these so we could do this more often. Thanks Angie and Marcus for letting us borrow the kayak and for watching our kids. You are GREAT!

Thanks Nick for 9 wonderful years of marriage. It has been an adventure.

4th of July

We had a fun, but very busy 4th of July weekend. We saw 3 firework shows, had 2 BBQs, 1 parade/water fight and lots of family and friends. The only bad part was that I forgot to take very many pictures. So I only have a few to share.
Kaysville parade and water fight.
My great family at our last firework show of the weekend!
I love the 4th of July!

Raptors Game

Austin's baseball team got to be baseball buddies with the Ogden Raptors. We all got free general admission and then his team got to run out on the field and stand by a player during the National Anthem. Austin thought it was pretty cool that he got to run out on a "real" baseball field. We have not been to a baseball game in a really long time so it was a lot of fun!

Brodie's Birthday!

Brodie is 5!!! It sure it crazy to think that I will have 2 kids in school next year. Grandma and Grandpa Schwerin were able to come out for Brodie's birthday. Nick had surgery late that afternoon so we decided to have a party at lunch time. Brodie decided to have pizza, strawberries, and cheetos for lunch.

After lunch it was present time, he got a lot of great stuff. Here are a few of his favorites. He also got a new bike but I forgot to take a picture of it.
Then it was cupcake and ice cream time!
Enjoying cupcakes on the front porch with a couple of the neighbor kids.

We love our little Brodie and love having him in our family!

Baseball Players

Austin and Brodie both just finished up with baseball. This was the first year for them to try it and they both did a great job!
Austin played machine pitch so it took some practice, but he did GREAT!! He really enjoyed playing he told me he like it better than soccer. He also got to be on a team with his friend Nixon which made it a lot more fun for him.
He got really good at playing out in the field too. It was a lot of fun watching him get better as the season went on.
Brodie played t-ball and it was a lot of fun to watch. They are super funny at this age. Every time the batter would hit the ball the team out in the field would race to the ball and wrestle for it. Then whoever would finally get it would throw it to first. As you can tell by the pictures there was all little bit of goofing off too.
Brodie was so funny when he would be up to bat, I don't know where he got this but he would hit the bat on the ground before he swung to hit the ball. Then he would slide into home plate (with the tee on it) when he came around the bases. What a funny kid!

They both really enjoyed playing and I loved watching. I was a little sad when the season ended.

Catching Up...

I have not blogged in forever! I don't know why I keep doing this. I do a few posts to catch up and then I don't blog for a long time. Then I get so far behind it seems overwhelming to catch up again. So I am just going to do the important things from the past few months and hopefully I won't get so far behind again!

April 2011

Since we didn't get a good family picture on Easter, we put the kids in their Easter outfits last Sunday to at least get a picture of the four of them. We could not find our tripod to take a family one but it was okay because Nick and I did not wear exactly what we wore on Easter. So here is to hoping that family pictures get easier as they get older!

Austin is 7!

Our sweet Austin turned 7 last week and I know I always say this but I really can't believe I have a 7 year old. We just celebrated as a family. First we had dinner (menu picked by Austin) we had pizza, apple sauce and root beer, his favorites! Then he opened A LOT of presents thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Schwerin, they got him a lot of great stuff.
Here are just some of his favorite things that he got!
After presents it was time for cake and ice cream. I normally make cupcakes for the kids birthday but the night before Austin said "mom I really want a cake this year." Since I am not very good at cakes, I told Nick to check the bakery at Wal-Mart and he found this yummy chocolate cake with chocolate butter cream frosting. It really was good!
We sure love our Austin he is a great kid!

Easter in Vernal

We spent Easter weekend at Nick's parent in Vernal. There were 14 adults and 19 kids, let the craziness begin! It really was a great weekend and it is fun being back in Utah to celebrate holidays with everyone. We took a lot of pictures and it was really hard to decided which ones to share!

The adults stayed up super late Friday playing games, but Saturday morning began bright and early with yummy apple fritters. Then it was time for an Easter egg hunt, we let the little ones go first and then the big kids.
Adyson liked carrying her eggs rather than putting them in her basket.
Cute Corbin.
Checking out Uncle Wes' rabbit.
Grandma and Grandpa Weber with most of the grand kids missing 2 and Corbin because he refused to get in the picture.
Brodie racing to find eggs.
Austin being silly!
After the hunt, it was time to fly kites. Grandma got some kites from the dollar store and the worked great! I forgot to take pictures so I stole these from Nick's sister's blog.

Aunt Kim went and got the kids some glow in the dark sidewalk chalk which was a lot of fun. Saturday was a super long day but we found lots of fun things to do to fill the time!
I made these cute ties for the boys so they could match. We tried to take a family picture but Corbin and Adyson did not want anything to do with that. We did get some cute ones of the kids together this last Sunday so I will have to post those later.

Just a cute picture of Austin, Ellie, Adyson, Finley, and Brodie looking at the cat.

New playground

We decided that we wanted to get something for the kids to play on in the backyard. I was trying to decided between a swing set or trampoline. Since Brodie is still a little scared of a trampoline and Corbin will not even get on one we decided to go with a swing set. It took Nick and I about 4 or 5 day working on it off and on to finally get it all put together. The kids love it! I am so glad we decided on the swing set, they also love eating on the picnic table and having a little clubhouse! It is so nice to have a fenced in backyard where the kids can play!

Couple of Cute Pictures

Adyson is pretty funny she likes doing whatever her brothers are doing. The other day she wanted to be just like Brodie, but every time he got up she would yell "sit down" because she was not done playing. It was really funny!
That same day I was upstairs and when I came down I could not find Corbin and Adyson, I looked all over and then I heard a little knock on the pantry door I opened it and there they were trying to find food!

Corbin is 3!!

I know, I have been a very lazy blogger lately well okay for the past few months. That is all changing today! I am going to do a little updating and then be better about blogging more often.

Corbin turned 3 on March 13th. We just had a little party with Marcus, Angie, and their cute kids. We cooked on the grill, opened presents, and had cupcakes and ice cream!
I can't believe he is three! We sure love having him in our family! (Yes, he does have a great big goose egg and bruise on his head poor kid got pushed into a door.)

We had a New Years party with some of Nick's family and it was a lot of fun!
White elephant gift exchange.
Nerf wars!
Happy New Year!!!
All of the kids stayed up until midnight and did great! It is so much fun to have a house to throw parties!

Christmas

Making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Checking out presents from Santa.
Opening all the presents.

All of our presents!

The kids riding their new scooters and bikes!
Angie and her family came over for Christmas lunch and I did not get any pictures of all of us, but I did get a picture of Brodie with the newest Weber cousin Ethan. Brodie loves him and always wants to hold him every time we see them.
We had a great Christmas in our new house!
